He made my husband and I laugh like crazy the first time we tried him out, especially when he says at the end "Oh, THAT GOOD ONE!" I agree with others; he is a big battery hog. I haven't changed out the batteries yet, so he can't move around as well right now. But he does still bend over and shake a bit, and his voice is still good. So it doesn't really matter to a one-year-old! I am glad we got it, but might not be as thrilled if he had been over $20 (as he is as of this writing.) i gave this toy to my goddaughter who's a year old - at first she was hesitant because of the tumbling action - but the laughing sound and the voice of cookie monster made her smile - and us adult swoon! Soon after the first jitters, she was already playing with it and enjoying it! Her parents and I grew up on Sesame Street and its wonderful to see that it still has a wonderful effect on the present generation. My son got cookie monster for his bday he recieved elmo last year for xmas I was not at all impressed with either of them and he could care less about either of them. My son just picked this Star Wars lego set up from his birthday. For 15 bucks at the local toy store, what a bargain. A few regular action figures would have cost the same, but with the lego set my 5 year old son learns to assemble things, gets a speeder and turret in addition to the Republic troopers--too cool! We're having a great time.
My 7 year old son loves his Legos star wars kits. He's got a bunch and the battle packs mate well for scenario play with them. Legos has been promoting the battle packs in the Legos club magazine so the odds your your kid already knows about the battle packs and wants them. No matter what Star Wars Legos kits s/he has this will augment it.
The Battle Packs are worthwhile as stand alone toys too - especially for travel. The trouble with the big Legos kits for take along play is that they tend to break up in pieces during play and a lost piece is a disaster. The Battle Packs are small and simple (and cheap). These can go with you. They are the correct size for making an airline seat back a battlefield. Heartily recommended.
very good toy I bote this at a local target and with a droids battle pack I have a revew on that to very durable and is probaly my best lego I have!
This is one of Lego's smaller add-on packs to a Star Wars collection that can be used as a stand-alone product, too. Small, fun and it helps build up your clone, or stormtrooper, army. My seven year-old loves to build this, or take it apart and add the pieces to other sets. Also, we use the clone troopers and the stormtroopers interchangably. Overall, this is a great toy. Highly recommended.
My nephew is mad about Star Wars and at 7 is just getting into Lego in a bigger more involved way. My son also has this and he just loves it. Lego keeps him occupied for hours at a time and he loves to display finished items in his room (we are running out of shelves). Very long lasting and very good value for money.

My son loves playing with the Lego Star Wars sets but this one was a disappointment. He enjoyed assembling it and it is a fine looking piece but it does not stand up by itself and the top is easily disconnected. It's really only for display so be forewarned. Also comes with no Star Wars figures unlike many of the others. A rare Lego disappointment.
This is a great lego set. It is very detailed, and is much larger than it seems in pictures. It has many moving parts, and amazes me every time I look at it. However, it is fragile, and a bit wobbly. It is more for display than for play. It looks so great on a table, however, that any star wars fan would love to have it in his or her house.

We have this for our daughter to keep busy with while we prepare dinner. She loves it! It is cute too no matter which front and back you put in it puts it together (ie PigCow, that's silly, etc). She even likes to care it around (it has a handle on top). Just a caution, the songs are catchy!
This is the one toy my son plays with on a regular basis they are all magets and when you put them into the barn it tells you what you put in.. and it sings songs this is one toy to get..
My 17 month old got this for his first birthday and has loved it before we even managed to get it out of the package. He does periodically get scared of some of the sounds but that has been a phase he's been going through with animal sounds since his birthday and not just this toy. When he is afraid of a certain sound for awhile, we just put that animal up higher on the fridge until he gets over it.
He likes being able to mix up the animal parts and make it make different sounds and likes the songs it plays. He also just likes to play with the magnets themselves. It is a good toy to occupy a little one while they're keeping mom or dad company in the kitchen.
I ordered this when my baby was 1, my older daughter was 5, and my husband was 38, and everybody loved it! My baby loves to dance with the music, my 5-year old loves to match the animals, and my husband would make the wrong match and laugh like a silly boy. This is absolutely a great toy for the whole family!

As others have said there is no grenade included and certainly no "grenade accessory pack." This is not just amazon's description because on the actual box it clearly lists "grenades" as one of the features. What should happen is simple, McFarlane toys should offer a free grenade to anyone affected by this and the seller should change the description to reflect the problem.
I purchased the Halo figure for my teen drawing class. It is excellent proportionally and an interesting subject for the kids to draw. Full articulation lends itself to varied vantage points and added "energy" to a pose. Would like a little larger sized figure and one that doesn't feel fragile...I suspect that the compromise would be for the details and articulations...so overall I would take the details/articulations over the sturdiness.
I bought this item for collection purposes only. I do not intend to open the product to play with it, but I can say that the detail is awesome, which is to be expected from all McFarlane toys. The only grip that I have is that it is shown, on the packaging and in pictures all over promoting this figure, having a grenade. And as far as I can tell, not one of Master Chief's figures have one. But overall, I would recommend it to any Halo fan or video game figures collector.
This is a very detailed and very articulated figure from Mcfarlane Toys. The paintjob is amazing. However, I dont know why it didnt come with the grenade because all the picture showed it. I have 4 of them and none included it. Chief is only five inches tall but it makes a great addition to anyone's collection wheather you are a Halo fan or not. Its very cheap and it looks so much better than the ones from Halo 2 action figure. So stop wasting your time and buy it now!
like you have read before, there is no grenade. I was a little disappointed but i'll live. its just a toy, get over it.
One thing that I was greatly disappointed with is the scale that the Master Chief and the rest of the mcfarlane halo 3 series toys. They do not match the size of the halo 2 toys from Rc2 and racing champions.
So if you have the halo 2 spartans and covenant action figures, then don't bother adding these midget mcfarlane toys on the same shelf. frankly it would look just weird. Like a happy meal toy with a G.I. Joe, it simply does not work.
But with that said, this toy does have its perks. 18 points of articulation works great. the figure is very stable, unlike the larger halo 2 series. And (for you nerds like me) smaller toys take up less shelf space.

My boyfriend and I grew up children of the 80s. He loved transformers as a child, and when the movie came out last summer, he couldn't get enough of the film. For Valentine's Day this year I decided to surprise him with the electronic Bumblebee. As it turned out, from of all the gifts I have ever given him, this was THE biggest hit. He immediately took it out of the box and began playing with all of its features. His eyes lit up, he talks, there are radio tunes that it plays (Bumblebee, not my boyfriend). It's really just a neat gadget that I know he will treasure for years to come. Definitely a winning purchase!!!

I would not recommend this particular model of Bumblebee for young children. He is intricate and complicated to convert which works out perfectly for the Dad of the young child who really wants to play with the toy himself anyway:)
I bought this for my six year old son for Christmas, and it is by far his favorite toy. Transforming it from robot to car the first time did take quite a while, but the resulting car is very realistic. Now that I have done a couple of transformations, I can convert it in about ten minutes. It's too advanced for my son to transform though. When in car mode, the transformer locks together very well (first time I went to transform it back, I was surprised by how much force it took to unsnap some of the panels).
When in car mode, the electronics have some pretty cool effects. When you push the car, the engine revs, and the headlights come on. When the car stops, it screeches to a halt and the tail light light up. Robot mode effects are cool too.
Highly recommend this toy.
Overall this transformers toy that I bought for my 6 years is very neat. He enjoys it alot, but I have to change it from Robot to Vehicle everytime. Even for myself, the pieces are hard to put together and take apart to change back and forth. My son has many tansmformers and this so far is the one most complicated. He does however enjoy it very much. Thanks.

With its vivid yellow finish and racing stripes, Ultimate Bumblebee's car form is as detailed and well built as any model car and would be a perfect addition to a cabinet or dresser top. However, like all Transformers, there is more to Ultimate Bumblebee's Camaro form than meets the eye. When it is time for him to come out of disguise and confront his enemies, he can transform into a massive, powerful robot. Equipped with a plasma cannon, he is more than prepared to defend your local Autobot from Decepticon attacks.
With a few minor adjustments, kids can transform Ultimate Bumblebee seamlessly between his robot and his vehicle mode. His robot mode stands an impressive 14 inches, and is fully articulated, meaning that kids can adjust him into any pose. He is also incredibly detailed -- likely one of the most attractive action figures your aspiring heros will ever get their hands on.
Advanced Animatronics and Sounds
Ultimate Bumblebee features an advanced animatronic design, which means he can move and animate himself when in robot mode. With the touch of a button, he'll burst into motion. His head moves expressively from side to side, and his arms and wings both move up and down. He can even aim his plasma cannon and fire off his missile.
Perhaps most impressively, he has full sound detection capabilities. He will respond to noises by turning and making sounds of his own. In addition to his animatronics and motion, Ultimate Bumblebee can also make a variety of exciting sounds. This ever-vigilant Autobot has 17 different heroic conversation phrases, such as "Let's roll out!" and "Take that, Decepticon!" He also makes battle sounds -- kids will hear the firing of his plasma cannon and the whirring, crushing sound of his movements. He'll even boogie as he plays Devo's popular song, "Whip It."
About Transformers
The Transformers began as a Hasbro toy line back in 1983, featuring toy vehicles that could transform into robots. The toys soon inspired an entire universe of fictional story lines, pitting the two factions of Transformers -- the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons -- against one another. These transformer toys are awesome and enjoyed by all
boys. The Transformer movie has inspired the sale of these
toys. They are easy to transform and the kids will sit and play for hours with them, mimicking scenes from the movie.
Small and portable, this toy provides fun at home or during those boring errand trips, giving idle hands something to do. 8-year old nephew is quick to show me how much he likes it and feels a sense of accomplishment when morphing it from one thing to another.
Watch out for the parts, they can come off, but do snap back on, other then the parts being small and can get lost, looking is more then playing with it

My Grandson asked for this transformer for christmas, He enjoyed it and played with it christmas Day and had alot of fun. I would reccommend it for other children.
Well, I wish I had listened to everyone that said it was flimsy and breakable. Ours isn't broken yet, but I'm sure it will be soon. This will be our yardstick for years to come when we think about overspending on a toy just because our son "has to have it." No, he doesn't. And I wish we'd saved our money this time around.

We received this Pirate Toy Ship last year as a gift for our son's 5th birthday. He plays with it all the time and hasn't gotten bored with it. We just ordered it for our friend's son who just turned 3. We expect it will be as much fun for him, too! Our ship hasn't had any problems falling apart, seems as if it's an intermitent problem maybe? We would buy it again definitely.
What a great gift for a pirate lover! Not to mention that it was cheaper at Amazon than at any store we looked. Very cute, love that the cannons work. Our son has used many different figures to go on pirate adventures and rescues.
we first bought the imaginext castle christmas 06 and my then 3 yr old couldn't get enough. So when he saw the pirate ship just before christmas 07 he couldn't talk about anything else ...
Since then he had hours of fun with it. All the neat features, but I must say the sails get stuck quite often and we crushed two of the red canon targets by just stepping on them.
Still, we would buy it again anytime!
The pirate ship with accessories has proven to be a wonderful toy...the first one was such a huge success, have purchased another one for another grandson.
Purchased as one of many Christmas gifts for our soon-to-be four year old son, this was the gift he kept returning to on Christmas day and often since then! No instructions make the parts and pieces a challenge for feeble-minded parents. The cannon piece that is stored under the deck was easily destroyed by my son, hoping I can get a replacement from Fisher-Price. Like the classic Fisher-Price toys that still continue to engage my son, this is a winner, well worth the price and far superior to the other action figures marketed to kids this age!

Interesting. Most of the transformer reviews seem to be from a somewhat informed collector's perspective. Most of these seem to be from people who bought this model for their five year old kid and who thought they were going to get Ultimate Bumblebee (who retails for 80 bucks) because the price was marked up. Ten seconds of research would have given them the information to avoid such a mistake, but these people feel justified in railing against Amazon for charging extra for a product in high demand.
I'd agree with anybody that they shouldn't be buying these new transformers for young children. They are for kids who are at least 10, and for adult collectors. And from an adult collector perspective, it's a superb toy. It does have a complicated transformation, and what you get is a toy that looks stunning in both modes. And while many of the transformers have done a respectable job imitating the vastly more complex movie models, this one takes first prize, moreso than what I've seen of Ultimate Bumblebee.
So yes, the toy is in high demand, and you should either expect to spend a long time tracking one down, as I did, or fork over the cash for the quick fix. I was lucky enough to find a re-issue at Target yesterday, stocked by the cash registers instead of in the toy aisle. And I paid 9.99 for it.
So I recommend less cry-baby behavior from dimwit parents and some sense in realizing who these models are really designed for and why they're in high demand. Blame the manufacturers for claiming they're for younger kids, blame yourselves for buying without thinking, but don't blame Amazon, fer chrissakes.
Bumble Bee is my favorite movie character but it is not as good as my other transformer toys. It is hard to transform and some of the pieces always fall off. The one piece that falls off the most is his head. I like the toy but it is hard to transform.
I purchased this toy as a Christmas present for my 8-year-old nephew. He was absolutely ecstatic to get it and began enjoying it immediately. It soon became apparent that the transformation is a bit complicated and the main ball-joint that keeps the two main body parts together gives way much too easily. While my nephew had a blast, we had to continually keep rejoining the two halves during each transformation. Although the constant coming apart and the complicated transformation draw away from its other qualities, it is nonetheless a fun toy for a boy who is crazed with cars and Transformers.
This toy is so cool.When I looked at the instructions I followed them carefully.I had no problems transforming him.And the sword canon is so cool.And the 2008 Bumblebee is better than the 1967 Bumblebee.So whenever you see a 2008 Bumblebee buy it.
It was brand new, and for my grandson. He loved it! We figured out right away how to make the camaro into the Bumble Bee Transformer. It was great! Thanks. I would give it a 5!
